Housekeeping
|
| |
- Allocate 10-15 minutes each day to clean down and tidy work areas and scaffold.
- With 1 hour Friday afternoons for full site clean down including scaffold areas and ground level.
- All debris to be either cleared to site skip or cleared from site to skips at company yard.
- Site and work areas responsibility to all operatives on site to ensure kept clean and tidy.
- If scaffold is over public areas, ensure scaffold netting in place and scaffold boards are covered.
- Ensure all cigarette butts are disposed in safe and hygienic manner.

Welfare arrangements are supplied by the client or principal contractor.
These should be in line with Schedule 2 of the Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015 (CDM).
All sites are to have a minimum amount of welfare facilities available for workers, which include the following:
• Toilets
• Washing facilities
• Drinking water
• Rest facilities

Emergency Procedures

The client or principal contractor will ensure that the existing site emergency procedures are followed and that relevant information is given to operatives at time of induction or when changes are made to procedures.
The principal contractor is responsible for ensuring that all operatives under their control adhere to the site emergency procedures at all times.

First Aid

Refer to on site safety notice boar / site file for all first aid information.
A first aid box with enough equipment to facilitate the number of operatives on site will be provided by the Principal Contractor.
Principal contractor will nominate and appointed person to take care of first aid arrangments.
Number of appointed first aiders shall be dependedt upon the number of employees on site.

All COSHH relevant materials will be stored on site in accordacne with relavant regulations.
A secure site compound will be provided for the duration of the work.
